Welcome! I have provided some general information about my clinical training below. I am happy to share additional information over the phone or by email so please reach out with questions.
I completed a Masters degree in Marriage and Family Therapy at The Family Institute at Northwestern University in Evanston, Illinois. Upon completion of this program I remained at The Family Institute for an additional three years, first completing a two-year post-graduate clinical fellowship and then working as a staff therapist. During my time at The Family Institute I received extensive training and supervision in working with individuals, couples and families. Additionally, I was a member of the Mindfulness and Behavior Therapies team, receiving training in Mindfulness and mindfulness-based therapies such as Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) and Functional Analytic Psychotherapy (FAP). As a therapist on the Mindfulness and Behavior Therapies team I provided individual DBT as well as taught skills training groups.
In 2012 I moved back to the Pacific Northwest, home to my family and me, and spent over four years working at Eating Recovery Center of Washington. During this time I worked as an individual, family and group therapist, and for three years served as the Clinical Director of the Child and Adolescent Program. I have received extensive training in the treatment of eating disorders, including but not limited to training in Family-based Treatment (FBT) for adolescents with eating disorders and the application of Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) to eating disorders.
I now live in Silverdale, WA with my family.
I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist in Washington State (license #LF60330631) and am also an approved supervisor. I currently participate in regular advanced training and clinical consultation.
